![]() ![]() I think the game itself is probably as awesome as everyone thinks, but the entry point on an Xbox is as unwelcoming as the gates of Mordor. (Don't mean to sound grumpy but we shelled out money for a game that everyone describes as awesome fun, only to spend an hour just trying to figure out the right button to press. It seems like every tutorial I am finding so far already assumes we know everything or else it's done as a crazy-long video with a 100:1 ration of noise to actual content. is there some mapping that matches keys on a keyboard to the buttons or at least the control names on an xBox? And is there some better guidance for someone just starting out? Ideally, I would like a series of tutorials that build off each other, where we can learn how to handle all the career and mission stuff, then the designer, then rocket control, and so on. Then we used the KSPedia to try to match that up with what controls it describes and finally figured out it was Right-Trigger (RT). So for example, we knew the space bar would launch the example rocket, but we didn't know the space bar was supposed to map to "Activate Stage." I found that on a different site here. Long story short, we found this page but the only controls it references are on a keyboard and it doesn't say what those controls are labelled as. I felt like we were literally just dumped into the space center and left to wander around on our own to figure out what to do.īut we soldiered on with him trying to figure out what to do in-game using the KSPedia while I was sitting beside him googling things. No in-game tutorial really to speak of, just a pointer to the KSpedia. I knew this was a PC game ported over to the console so I expected some translation issues, but I was disappointed by just how little guidance there was in the game for someone just getting started. Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition is optimized for console players, featuring a completely reworked user interface and new controls.I just got KSP Enhanced Edition for the Xbox One this weekend and am playing with my son. on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, though the keyboard and mouse controls are adapted. Using the VAB/SPH Controls The first part is placed simply by clicking on it in the left side panel, but each later part must be manually placed by selecting it from the side panel, then moving it to where you want to place it and clicking again. Launch your Kerbal crew into orbit and beyond (while keeping them alive) to explore moons and planets in the Kerbal solar system, constructing bases and space stations to expand the reach of your expedition. The Asp doesnt need much speed to take off (60m/s) and is perfectly comfortable at low speed, but can be pushed faster. They both have wings that are swept back well past the pivot point of their landing gear, so be careful not to pull up too hard on take-off. You have access to an array of parts to assemble fully-functional spacecraft that flies (or doesn’t) based on realistic aerodynamic and orbital physics. That is the one that reverses its controls mid-flight. In Kerbal Space Program, take charge of the space program for the alien race known as the Kerbals. Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition Complete The Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition Complete bundle includes the heavily-awarded and ever evolving space simulation game Kerbal Space Program as well as the History and Parts Pack & Breaking Ground expansion for a bundled discount. ![]()
